/mark
Your mark is the wave next to your name. /mark lets you choose which one to wear, from what you hold or anything below it.
Your mark is the wave next to your name on the loading screen and over your head in the
city. /mark lets you choose which mark to wear, from what you hold or anything
below it. It never changes what you hold.
What a mark is
Every account has a standing, and each standing has a wave in its own colour. There are three families.
Founder
The beta standing you bought, in the original colourways, permanently.
Supporter
The post-beta ladder, on the city's grades. Exotic and pristine are colours no rank grants yet.
Staff
The metals worn by the people who run the city.
Where it shows
| Surface | Shows |
|---|---|
| Loading screen | your pick |
| Over your head, the in-city marker | your pick |
| Character select | always the real standing: staff metal, then founder tier, then supporter rank, then white |
Character select is the one place that always shows the truth. That is by design, so the screen where you manage the account never hides what it really holds.
The dropdown
You do not have to type anything. On character select, under your mark, a small Wear dropdown lists exactly what you may wear with your current choice selected. Pick one and it is saved on the spot. The select screen keeps showing your real standing above it.
The command
| Command | What it does | Needs |
|---|---|---|
/mark or /mark help | The help: what a mark is, what you hold, what you wear, and every option you may pick with the exact words that set it | nothing |
/mark default | Back to the natural order. Same as none or clear | nothing |
/mark founder | Your founder mark, in your real tier’s colour | a paid tier |
/mark founder patron | The founder mark in any tier at or below yours. A Benefactor may wear patron, supporter or the white | that tier or higher |
/mark support | Your supporter mark, in your real rank’s colour | a supporter rank |
/mark support choice | Any rank at or below yours, by rank name or colour. Exotic and pristine sit above every rank | that rank or higher |
Words are case-insensitive. A family word alone means “the one I hold”.
What you will see
/mark
--- /mark: the wave next to your name ---
It shows on the LOADING SCREEN and OVER YOUR HEAD in the city. Character select always shows your real standing.
You hold: founder Patron, supporter none, staff none.
You are wearing: Default (the natural order).
You may wear (type the words after /mark):
* /mark default -> Default (the natural order)
/mark founder patron -> Founder · Patron
/mark founder supporter -> Founder · Supporter
/mark founder free -> Founder · Whitelisted
Changes apply: over your head within seconds; loading screen on your next join; character select never.
/mark founder supporter
mark: now wearing Founder · Supporter (was Default (the natural order)).
Over your head: within seconds. Loading screen: on your next join. Character select: unchanged (it shows your real standing).
/mark support
mark: Supporter · none refused -- you hold no supporter rank.
You may wear: default | founder patron | founder supporter | founder free. Type /mark for details.
/mark rainbow
mark: unknown family "rainbow" (default | staff | founder | support). Type /mark for your options.
Timing
- Over your head: within a few seconds. The marker refreshes on its own.
- Loading screen: on your next join. It reads the pick as you connect.
- Character select: never changes with the pick. It shows the real standing.
Rules that cannot be bent
- A pick is cosmetic only. It touches no standing, no tier, no admission, no permission.
- You can only wear what you hold or what sits below it. The command refuses anything else, and the server ignores a stale pick if your holdings change later, so a lapsed rank falls back to the natural order by itself.
- A pick persists per account across sessions and characters until you change it.
Troubleshooting
- “you hold no founder tier” after buying. The grant has not landed on this account yet. Ask staff to check it.
- The loading screen still shows the old mark. It reads the pick at join. Reconnect.
- Select shows gold but I picked founder. Correct. Select always shows the real standing.
